QUESTIONS & ANSWERS CONCERNING SKI SCHOOL & RENTAL
IS THE LIFT PASS INCLUDED IN THE SKI COURSE?
No it's not, you have to buy it separately.
WHO NEEDS A LIFT PASS?
CAN OUR CHILDREN BE IN THE SAME KIDS GROUP?
Primarily the children are put into groups depending on their ability to ski, if your children or their friends are equally good at skiing please let the head of ski instructors know and we will try our best to put them together. If the children aren't the same level, then the better one has to join the weaker one's group.
HOW ARE THE GROUPS PUT TOGETHER?
Children have to ski through a little slalom on the first day of the course and then they are put into a group of their level.
MY CHILD IS UNDER 4, CAN THEY JOIN THE SKI COURSE?
In principal we don't take children under the age of 4 into the ski course, but we have an alternative, the so called Earlybird or Latebird. This is the hour from 8.30-9.30am or from 3.15-4.15pm in which the child tries to ski on a one to one basis with a ski instructor. If this works out and the ski instructor agrees to put the child into the course, then the child can join.
CAN YOU JOIN A CHILDREN'S COURSE DURING THE WEEK?
It is always possible for children to join an existing group during the week, as long as the group consists of 3 people and it's the right level.
HOW EARLY DO WE HAVE TO BOOK A PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR?
The earlier the better! The demand is very high during the peak season, so we recommend to book at least one month in advance. Should you arrive at short notice or spontaneously decide to take private lessons, please contact the office by phone or you're welcome to come in and see us.
HOW EARLY DO WE HAVE TO BOOK A PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR WHO WE'VE HAD BEFORE?
If you have a special request regarding the instructor, please let us know roughly 4 months in advance.
DO YOU HAVE INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTORS?
Yes, we have Austrian, German, English, Dutch & Danish instructors. All of them speak German & English.
DO WE NEED TO BOOK THE CHILDREN'S GROUP IN ADVANCE?
Generally we recommend to book online, otherwise it could happen that we run out of spaces in the peak season.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO TIP AN INSTRUCTOR?
Every instructor appreciates a tip :)
IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE SKI/SNOWBOARD DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD?
Yes, there is the possibility to change the ski/snowboard 1-2 times.
WHAT DO I DO IF I'VE TAKEN ANOTHER ONES SKI?
Please come to the office as soon as possible, then our staff can fix the situation/issue.
CAN I CHANGE FROM SNOWBOARD TO SKI OR REVERSED?
Yes, you can change once, from ski to snowboard and back.
DO I NEED INSURANCE FOR THE SKI/SNOWBOARD?
That's your own decision. If the ski/snowboard is stolen though, you have to pay 30% of the new product price. The insurance is 10% of the rental price.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE SKI SOCKS IN SKI BOOTS?
Ski socks are just as important as a perfectly fitted helmet. To avoid shin soreness we recommend ski socks for every skier. (ski underwear doesn't belong in the ski sock, but just under the knee)
WHEN DO YOU PAY FOR THE RENTAL EQUIPMENT?
The equipment is paid in advanced, no matter how long you rent it for.
DO YOU OFFER AN EXPRESS SKI SERVICE?
In principal we don't offer an express ski service, but if the moment and the time is right and our staff has time we can do one, this would roughly take 30mins.
